Planet Friendly Fashion at the archive

Our Planet Friendly Fashion event was all about re-using bits and bobs that would normally be thrown away.

Artist Sarah Millin brought a wonderful array of materials ranging from old sweetie wrappers to bottle tops to drinking straws. The sheer variety of shapes, textures and colours really demonstrated how easy it can be to turn waste into something lovely.

With Sarah's help our keen crafters made the most of the materials and created some beautiful bracelets, rings and necklaces.

"The thing I will remember most about my visit is making drinking straw bracelets because I enjoyed putting it together"

At M&S we work with our customers and suppliers to combat climate change, reduce waste, use sustainable raw materials, trade ethically, and help our customers to lead healthier lifestyles. You can find out more here.

There are more exciting events coming up, it's all here on our Events page!
