These memories tell a unique story of M&S through the eyes of our customers and employees

My mum looks great in the 50s inspired 125 dress - now I know what she looked like when she was young!

My earliest memory of Marks & Sparks is going shopping with my mum and younger sister to buy new pants, socks and an outfit for Whitsuntide. On Whit Sunday we would dress in our new clothes and parade amongst family.

I’ll never forget my first (and second!) Melting Middle Chocolate Pudding. I’d seen the advert, but there was a run on them at my local store so it was a little while before I could get any. There are two in a pack but I’d eaten all the evidence by the time my housemate got home!

I remember the first time my mum gave me Percy Pigs in my lunch box. Best day at school EVER.
When I was little my favourite food was tinned peach slices in heavy syrup with evaporated milk
I remember mum and dad buying me a packet of chicken in a basket crisps to eat in the car on the way home from a long day shopping. Sadly you don't make them anymore - please bring them back. Also, chocolate tea cakes always appeared at parties - I continue this tradition for my kids! Thanks M&S.

Barbecue beef flavour Marks & Spencer Potato sticks. My Aunt Mary used to buy them for me as well as the chocolate teacakes. They made Saturday tea time a real treat and they were DELICIOUS. We thought she was very posh buying food from Marks & Spencer. If only you would bring them back.

Iced Lemon Layer Cake, used to have it on a Sunday for tea an extra special treat after the brown bread salmon sandwiches!
    sharon berry
M&S Exeter always had the biggest & sweetest oranges in the '50s

Pink coconut cake - was hoping it would be brought back for Jubilee year as well as chocolate crinkle crunch biscuits!!!

Buttercream filled coconut meringue/macaroons (circa 1966????) 4 in a pack, bought as a very special treat from M&S in Wood Green on the way home from visiting my aunty, in our original Austin Mini!!! PS. I would love to see those back, I have never found anything to replace them.

I remember absolutely loving Marks & Spencer's Tomato Ketchup flavoured crisps. I used to buy them at the branch in Kingston upon Thames after college and work in the 1970s. OOh wish I could eat some now!
