These memories tell a unique story of M&S through the eyes of our customers and employees

My mum looks great in the 50s inspired 125 dress - now I know what she looked like when she was young!

My earliest memory of Marks & Sparks is going shopping with my mum and younger sister to buy new pants, socks and an outfit for Whitsuntide. On Whit Sunday we would dress in our new clothes and parade amongst family.

My mum worked at Marks' when I was little, I remember going in on her days off and her colleague taking me over to try the testers of the handcream while mum browsed. I still remember the smells!

I remember as a small girl, going into Sheffield city centre which had been badly bombed during the Second World War. The M&S store was in an old cinema with a sloping floor and the goods were laid out on open stalls, like table tops. The building later became a dance hall.
